NC=REST
North Carolina provided some much needed rest on this Shemitah year. CPT with Dr. Jane Lowder and Bonnie Chavda was a blast!

I can hardly believe that 6 months have passed since I left
Florida and my beloved Church Family at Christian Retreat. Miss you all so much. “Being confident of this very thing, that He
who has begun a good work in you will complete it at the day of Jesus Christ. “
Philippians 1:6.
My recent trip through North Carolina has been a time of much needed REST! One of the highlights was a day long trip to the NC Zoo in Asheboro. It is primarily a walking zoo, so it is a great way to experience the natural habitat of many animals and get some exercise. The aviary was my favorite area. The Scarlett Ibis were so iridescent that I could not accurately capture their feather color on camera. I was introduced to The Victoria Crowned Pigeon. This is a shy stately bird whose deep blue hued feathers resemble a peacock at the crown of the head. The photo of the day for me was the yawning ocelot. It appears to be scratching its back on a tree branch. The shot was through a thick glass so I was thrilled to snap at the right moment! Pray that all of my friends and family in Florida enjoyed their July, as well. Blessings to all!

Perhaps near the end of the journey I will report several more God events. He has been doing many miracles this journey and I hope to start reporting more of them soon. Here’s one such event:
On a side trip, had a great time with a young couple at the local department store. Looking for every opportunity to evangelize is just a part of the DNA, so when I received a word of knowledge; and saw fear in their eyes regarding her physical condition. I told her that God sent me to pray for her. I prayed in Spanish as Holy Spirit directed. After the prayer, I made a chopping motion over their heads and told them that I was cutting off fear from their lives. (Right there in public! Oh yeah! Go Holy Ghost!) Jesus brought the young woman hope for a healing miracle! She and I hugged (Spanish hospitality). I could see in their tear filled eyes that they were touched by the power of God! Jesus can do this. It’s easy for Him. He just needs your hands. We are the body of Christ in the earth. You can do this! |
Enjoyed Calvary Pentecostal Campground in Ashland, VA is a Christian gem. The move of Holy Spirit is always fresh and I especially enjoy the international flavor of worship at the altar. Made many divine connections from Ghana, Cameroon and India. Blessed beyond words! Big thanks to Pastor Jane Lowder and her host of staff and volunteers!!!
Love these mountain drives. Never knew…No camera can portray the grandeur of driving through The Appalachian Mountains! Spectacular to say the least! |
Best food in Ashland VA for the money!!!!
