Journey Final Entry
The last several weeks have produced a whirlwind of activity as Holy Spirit promised me, “The best is yet to come!” He has fulfilled HIS Word. He is so faithful! Stopped in Louisiana for one evening. Thanks to The McClouds for hosting me that night! Love to Carol, Russell and Hannah! I was privileged to tour JDM (Jesse Duplantis Ministries) on my way through. My tour guide, Kelsey, was most gracious. All of the JDM staff was so cordial and hospitable. Shaking hands with Jesse and getting a photo opportunity with him, was definitely a highlight. He is as personable, gracious, humble behind the scenes, as he is in front of a TV camera or large crowd. It is refreshing to meet genuine integrity face to face.
Speaking of face to face integrity, The Unveiling Conference in Houston, Texas produced glorious eternal fruit in the lives of many. I was one of the grateful recipients. Hosts: Dr. Yves Abraham and Bishop Bona Abraham provided a life changing experience for us all. The conference was sponsored by Eden Christian Institute and featured speakers such as: Bishop Adonijah O.Ogbonnaya (Author of The Golden Cord) and Dr. Caroline Leaf (Author of: Who Switched Your Brain On). It was a blessing and privilege to serve these leaders. The miraculous power of Holy Spirit transformed countenances before our very eyes. Houston will never be the same.
Lastly, while in Houston, I got to see some of my favorite Christian leaders. Joel and Victoria Osteen have encouraged me for many years through their television broadcasts. It was a special treat to visit Lakewood and see them in person. Also, their guest: Hillsong’s Australian Preaching Machine: Brian Houston is one of my favorite. If that wasn’t amazing enough, add the experience of live worship with leader: Israel Houghton and his musical team of extraordinary musicians and singers and… WOW!!!! It was an ‘’off the charts” extravaganza!!! The glory of God flowed through me like waves as Israel and the worshippers brought Heaven’s sounds into the stadium at Lakewood.
If I could pick a personal highlight of my journey, it was meeting 11 young people at the Taco Bell. I sat eating my food quietly, as they conversed loudly. “Listen,” The Holy Spirit advised. I heard their large vocabulary and kidding remarks. Holy Spirit set me up for an encounter with them. “If they are still here when I finish eating, then I will speak with them. You fill my mouth and I will speak what You give me,” I responded. Here goes… Holy Spirit gave me words of knowledge, words of wisdom, pictures and prophecies for each of the 11 youth. They are highly intelligent young people of destiny. It was such a privilege to meet them. What a blessing!!! My favorite, yet! Can it get any better? Oh yeah!
The Write About Jesus Conference in St. Charles, Missouri was definitely the pinnacle of my trip. It wasn’t the “rubbing elbows with top Christian Music industry pros” or hearing the transparent testimonies of Dove Award winners that made it so special (though that was totally amazing). It was building new friendships and realizing the longing of over one year’s wait that made this the most fulfilling part of my journey. It was the sweet fellowship with Holy Spirit during the meals that made it special. Jesus is so faithful! I really have many more members of my extended musical family now. That is a cause to rejoice.
